34-Year-Old-Teacher Booked Under POCSO For Sending Obscene Stickers To A 10-Year-Old-Girl

    In a horrendous incident, a 32-year-old teacher was found indulging in a deplorable incident by sending objectionable stickers to 10-year-old-girl who studies in standard IV. The person has been arrested by Mumbai Police for sending obscene pictures to the minor girl.

    The accused was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act
    (POCSO) and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. The man was arrested within 48 hours of the complaint.

    The accused was engaged with the particular school for few years. According to reports, a complaint was filed by the 10-year-old girl that led to his arrest. He was tracked down by a detection team led by DCP Manjunath Singh supervised by Inspector Shriram Koregaonkar.

    The police have seized his mobile phone which he used to send the obscene and vulgar stickers to the minor girl through WhatsApp. With the onset of the lockdown, number of virtual harassments have increased. Similar cases of online harassments are recorded in every part of the country.
