The supreme court of India releases a guide for the limited physical hearing during this pandemic time. It’s a 17-page guide for e-nomination of counsel, e-nomination of the clerk, e-application for a special hearing, and e-submission for the health declaration. According to the guide provided by the Sc, the registered clerks will be permitted to assist the advocates on the record or counsel for supplying the physical material but they will not be allowed to enter the courtroom.
Mostly every process is digitalized to enter the physical hearing. Appearing counsel or arguing counsel or registered clerk will get their special entry pass link in the official website of the supreme court. The person who is nominated for the physical appearance before the supreme court will enter in registered phone number under AOR then the person will receive the OTP.
Photo id uploaded while generating the entry pass will be verified physically while permitting the photo id it required for the identification of the nominated person as advocates or registered clerk as per the cases.
If a lawyer is appearing for more than on case then multiple passes will be generated according to the number of appearances. A self-declaration form about the fitness and the health should be signed before entering into the physical hearing of the supreme court. This self-declaration is to be signed by entering the one-time password (OTP) which is sent to the registered mobile number on the day of visit.
After a long period of time supreme court made several measures to open the court for physical hearings. This supreme court step will make different people’s opinion about the Indian government.
